Pomme was born in Thann in Alsace and her extended family, including many cousins, still live there or nearby. Pomme spent many happy occasions visiting them and making the occasional purchases at the local vineyards. The local Pinot Gris was a particular favourite. 

One particular occasion sticks in the memory as a special celebration which brought us all together there in Thann - Papy's 80th birthday party. It was a special time.
